    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Listed below are some of the questions we are often asked by new patients

I'm not sure if I need Physiotherapy, How do I know if you can help me?
If you are not sure then the best thing to do is to call us. The receptionist will take your message and she’ll arrange for a therapist to discuss it with you.
It is best to have your injury assessed early to avoid it from becoming worse and causing other complications. Sooner the treatment, faster is the recovery.

How do I make an appointment?
At Physio Asia we are able to arrange appointments quickly without much waiting time. Please call 6736 4142 to fix an appointment. Our reception staff will be glad to help you during the opening hours. If outside these times you need immediate help you can send us an email or leave us a phone message and one of our Physiotherapists will get back to you promptly. Usually the clinic line is transferred to a physiotherapist, so your call will be most possibly answered after the opening hours too.

What will I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit will incorporate the initial assessment and treatment. A detailed history of your present condition and medical status will be taken, followed by a methodical and thorough physical examination. The diagnosis of your present condition will be discussed and together your treatment plan will be established.

How long do the appointments last?
Session time varies depending on the condition but typically the initial consultation takes up to 1 hour, and subsequent sessions take 45-75 minutes.

Can I be seen at home as it may not be convenient for me to get to the clinic?
Yes. We can arrange home visits. We do have portable equipment that we can bring along if needed.

Do I have to undress to be assessed?
It mainly depends on the site of injury. To assess an injury properly we need to see the area fully and may need to see the joint above and below. For spinal injuries it is necessary to see most of the body. It is best to wear well fitting underwear and bring some shorts with you. We operate in a very professional manner and respect the wishes of our clients. We aim to keep you as comfortable as possible. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member with you to sit in during the session if you like.

How is Physio Asia different from other clinics?
At Physio Asia Therapy Centre we listen to your needs and care to help you. We strive to provide efficient, advanced and effective evidence based physiotherapy services. Our therapists have many years of professional experience and are constantly improving their skills and techniques with on-going education. You will receive personalized treatments. We work closely with your Doctor, personal trainer or your team coach to help you recover from your injury and return to your best as soon as possible.

How often will I need to come to Physiotherapy?
Your physiotherapy care will be depending on the assessment by your Physiotherapist. The average schedule is 1-3 times per week. Your schedule will depend on the degree of injury/dysfunction and your available time.
On average, most common injuries require 6-12 sessions over a 3-4 week period. You will achieve your goals and be educated well enough regarding the condition. You will understand how to prevent a re-occurrence and what you can do to help yourself.

What is included in my physiotherapy sessions?
In general, a physiotherapy program will follow a strategy that includes:
Assessment
Diagnosis
